> What are the differences between the
school you were and the school you are now?
- Of course there are. It is different because here we use another language from our mother tongue, and it is difficult. We don’t understand very much, because we are new here and we don’t speak Greek. Only English can help us. However not all teachers speak English.
> In English do you communicate with
other pupils?
- Just with some pupils, not with all of them.
> Do you prefer being in our school or
in the school you were? And why?
- No! We’d like our old school. Because we knew all the people there. All pupils, all teachers. It was our language, our country.
> The class you are now is the same
with the class you were in your country? How old are you?
- No, it is not the same! we belong to a bigger class from the class we were to. We have different ages, 16, 17, 18 years old.
> What about your coming to our
school? Are you satisfied? Or not? Is there something that you don’t like in
our school?
- We don’t like so much to be here. There are all ok, the place we are, the pupils, the teachers, but for us is something unsuitable and the main problem is the language. But despite this we don’t hate anything here.
> What do you thing about the Greek
language? Is it difficult for you?
- It is a little, not very much. We think we will get used to it.
> Is there somebody that helps you
learn Greek?
- Yes, at home I have a personal teacher that helps me speak Greek and this is how we know a little Greek.
> What about your personal life? What
are the plans for the future?
- My passion is drawing and I want to be a drawing artist.
- I want to be a fashion designer.
> Have you made your own friends here?
- We spend all the time by staying only together, but that doesn’t mean that we don’t make friends. But as I said before the problem is the language.
> Do you think you are alone in this
country? I mean, is there somebody that helps you, understands you, and is close to you?
- People here are the same with people in Syria. They make us think we are welcomed there.
> Do you think that bullying
exists in our school?
- Of course not. As I said before, people here give us the sense of a friendly environment.
> So, as I understand, you are satisfied
here, aren’t you?
- We are totally satisfied! And we thank them for all this friendly embrace.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to interview
you. It was my pleasure to communicate with all of you. So for anything you
want, we will be pleased to help you.
